recordbox doesn’t create a light show based on beat currently. If you’re playing tracks from vinyl, a plugged in phone, a mate playing on their own system through yours, rekordbox lighting doesn’t do anything.
The solution is to use an Interlude lighting scene (or swap between a few). If you turn on menu > Preferences > Extensions > Lighting > Auto Start, it will auto turn on the currently selected Interlude scene when playing a rekordbox track stops (after a brief delay) and turn it back off when you start playing a track from within rekordbox again.
